Long-Lasting Design
I prioritise creating products with longevity in mind. I understand the importance of reliability and aim to provide you with a highly-reliable platform that allows you to maintain your product with me or another provider. All of my products are purpose-built at my state-of-the-art studios located in the UK. I take pride in building and fully servicing every product I create, ensuring that it meets my high standards of quality and durability.
Reusability & Recyclability
I’m committed to sustainability and reducing my environmental impact. That’s why I’ve engineered my own supplies to be 100% reusable and recyclable. I also use lightweight materials to minimise wasteful distribution. I make every effort to use recycled stock whenever possible, as I believe in the beauty and potential of repurposed materials. My exclusive artwork is crafted to enhance the inherent beauty of these recycled materials, creating unique and environmentally-conscious designs.
Sustainable Materials
I believe that cardboard is the world’s most sustainable packaging choice. Its recyclable, renewable, reusable, and biodegradable properties make it an environmentally-conscious option that I’m proud to use in my packaging designs.
Corrugated cardboard has the best recycling record of any packaging material in the UK, with a recycling rate of over 80%. This remarkable rate saves an area the size of Greater London from landfill every four months, which is a significant achievement.
I recognise that one-size-fits-all approaches to packaging are becoming outdated. That’s why I prioritize well-designed, “right-sized” packaging that maximizes protection with minimal use of materials. This approach eliminates material waste and reduces the costs of storing and transporting unnecessarily large packaging.
My well-designed packaging also reduces product damages, which leads to fewer returns and less wastage. I believe in sustainable packaging solutions that benefit both my clients and the environment.
Environmentally Friendly Factories
I am committed to creating a sustainable production process throughout the entire value chain, including our suppliers.
For instance, I partner with Miyota Saku Factory, which was established as a “green park” to minimise the effects on the environment. The facility has planted around 26,000 plants of 110 varieties to help regulate and lower ground surface temperatures throughout the year. “Green” micro-climate zones are also in place to prevent heat build-up and allow the natural rainwater to nourish the growing plants.
In addition, the factory has implemented LED lighting and high-efficiency compressors to reduce electricity and gas consumption. The building’s smart environmental controls utilise heat exhaust and cooling for an efficient air-conditioning system, contributing to lowering CO2 emissions.
I believe in working with partners that prioritise sustainability and taking proactive steps to minimise the impact on the environment. It’s essential that we all work together to create a more sustainable future.
Sustainable Distribution
I believe in partnering with companies that prioritise sustainability, like Royal Mail. Their “Feet on the Street” network, consisting of over 85,000 postmen and women, is the largest in the UK, and they already have the lowest reported carbon emissions per parcel of any major UK delivery company.
But that’s not all. I am impressed by Royal Mail’s ongoing efforts to reduce emissions, waste and improve air quality in the communities where they operate. They have made significant investments in technologies like electric vehicles, drones and alternative fuel trucks, as well as energy improvements to their estate, to achieve their environmental ambitions. It’s inspiring to see a company take such proactive steps towards sustainability.
